What are PLCs?
The acronym stands for Professional Learning Communities, and here's a popular definition: "a group of people sharing and critically interrogating their practice in an ongoing, reflective, collaborative, inclusive, learning-oriented, growth-promoting way" (Stoll et al. 2006, p. 223).
PLCs engage in learning and inquiry together, driven by crucial questions generated by their common interests.
PLCs are structured around teacher voice and they situate the learning within the context of teachers' work with students.
